Automotive Key Account Manager (EMEA)

About this role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our newly established Key Account Management team for EMEA & APAC, based in Germany.
The primary focus of this role will be acquiring and managing key accounts operating in the area of vision-guided robotics in the European region, including end customers, line builders, machine builders, and robot system integrators across various industries. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and establishing long-term partnerships within these strategic markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and acquire new key accounts, focusing on end customers, line builders, machine builders, and robot system integrators in the automotive industry, logistics, general manufacturing, and more.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within each account, understanding their specific needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to ensure satisfaction, address any issues, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide clients with product updates, training, and support to ensure optimal utilization and satisfaction with our solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on account status, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Regional responsibility: EMEA

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Key Account Manager in the automotive, vision-guided robotics or machine builder industry
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Deep understanding of the automotive, robotics or machine builder market in APAC region, including key players and market dynamics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools
  • Understanding of automotive/robotics engineering or technical specifications
